Recycling Station

The Navasota Recycling Station provides recycling operations for yard waste, paper, aluminum cans and plastic.

Recycling plays a vital role in our environment by helping to divert materials that would normally end up in landfill. Allowing recyclable materials to be places in the landfill will eventually take up more space.

The cost of operating a landfill may go up as the need to open another is expensive, and the costs are usually passed on to you, the customer. This results in an increase of garbage collection services.

The Recycling Station is located on 501 Fifth St., in Navasota and only open Saturdays 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. You can reach the Recycling Station at (936) 870-3462.

Mulch & Compost

The Recycling Station also provides compost to Navasota residents. Mulch is produced by chipping brush and yard waste that is collected at curbside and brought into the recycling station by citizens. The mulch is then placed into piles where it is allowed to naturally compost. Compost is then sold to the public by the yard at City Hall.

To purchase your mulch & compost please stop by City Hall and see Daphne Kopycinski. You must pre pay for your mulch and compost before Saturday's pick up, as the Recycle Station is not equip to take payments.
