Building Permits
Effective Monday April 6, 2020 at 5:00 p.m. all permit applications for NEW permits will need to be submitted through the new portal. As part of the migration process all contractors/residents must register on the new portal and create a username and password to access our permitting services.
Contractor Permitting:
Contractors are responsible for obtaining the proper permits for work to be done inside the City of Navasota limits.
Homeowner Permitting:
Homeowners may obtain permits for work they are doing themselves, excluding gas, only if it is their "homestead". Homestead being listed on the Grimes County Appraisal District Tax Record.
Permit Fees
Commercial Building Permit fees are based on the the value of the job you are applying for. Residential permits fees are dependent upon the scope of work (plumbing, electrical, mechanical, general building, demo, etc.). Please click here for the fee schedule.
