Community Resource Program

The Navasota Police Department is committed to building strong relationships with area residents and businesses. In order to accomplish this commitment, the Navasota Police Department strives to develop ties between patrol officers and the community by working with the Navasota Merchants Association, the Grimes County Chamber of Commerce, and other area organizations on local festivals and parades.

School Resource Officer Program

The School Resource Officer Program is a cooperative effort between the Navasota Police Department and the Navasota Independent School District (NISD). School resource officers are fully commissioned police officers who work with and aid the administration and student body of the Navasota schools. Based on their law enforcement experience, they offer their services as a counselor, consultant, instructor, and problem-solver. The Officers work to reduce crime through education and the promotion of positive police/student relations.
